Many of the images you’ll see in this collection were shot on 35mm film. Digital photography and editing have broadened our horizons in many ways, but you can’t beat film’s ability to come straight out of camera looking like a million dollars. It’s timeless, it’s authentic, and it’s precious. A photographer on a digital shoot will capture hundreds or even thousands of images. On a film shoot he might take a couple dozen. Each shot counts and there’s delayed gratification to see if you got it or not. I’ve come to love that process and dived deeper into it by learning to develop my own film. When the final image comes out, you don’t just feel like you took a picture; you feel like you made one.
